Others
Other initiatives developed by COPAVA are aimed at meeting the needs of families through breathers and coexistence programs.
These activities support family members and caregivers and allow users to participate in new environments outside of their daily lives.
Coexistences
The get-togethers organized by COPAVA consist of overnight outings to natural environments outside the Valencian Community, combining them with sports and leisure activities. These stays are an incentive both on a personal and social level for people with intellectual disability.
In this sense, every year the White Week is organized in the Pyrenees, where, in addition to coexistence, sports activities and walks in the snow are carried out.
Family breaks
Family breaks are requested by relatives or caregivers in the immediate environment, responsible for the care of people with disability, in cases where, due to necessity, health reasons, various emergencies or difficult situations, they cannot look after them. They are temporary stays in day centers or residences that represent great support and favor the well-being of the caregivers with whom they live every day.
